Q. How is my purchase shipped and how is shipping calculated?
To make things simple, all orders under $25 ship for a flat fee of $5. All orders $25 and above will ship free of charge. Packages will be sent by either first-class or priority mail, and you will receive notification of shipment, along with tracking information.
Q. What is the return policy?
If an item is incorrectly shipped to you or damaged upon receipt, please accept our apologies. Should this be the case, simply contact us and we will be happy to correct the error at no cost to you. If you would like to return an item but the above circumstances do not apply, we will issue you a full refund upon receipt of the returned item (please provide us with a tracking number), however you will be responsible for return shipping charges.
Q. How should I care for the items I have purchased?
Any items made with acrylic or flannel may be washed and dried with the rest of your laundry. Cotton products can be washed in cold water and laid flat to dry. Wool blend items can be machine washed and dried on low heat. We would also suggest any lacy items (i.e. shawls) be washed on delicate and laid flat to dry.
Q. Does Knits 'N Bits consider the environment in its work?
Yes, we do! Unfortunately, there are not a lot of recycled yarns available at this time, but we continue to keep our eyes open for such products. In an effort to be as green as possible, however, we conserve on all packing material, including upcycling product wrappings and mailings, and we strive to keep our mailings light, in an effort to cut down on emissions during shipment. In addition, we recycle everything we can once we've produced an item, and we compost anything we are able to in our backyard bin. We also would appreciate you doing your part and reusing or recycling anything that we send to you!
Q. I see an item on your site that I like, but it is sold out. Is there anything I can do?
Most likely! Many of our items are one-of-a-kind, so if you see something you like that is currently not available, please let us know. We will be happy to see if we can obtain the material to create another item, and if not we can work together to find something you will be happy with.
